I never got around to asking for an extension on this. I still have my table in my icon community, and I was planning to still work on it. I only just got back to a place where I can produce graphics again. With my dad having dementia and being in a memory care facility, then Mom not calling for help after his death when she had an episode of afib--I've been a little busy the past few years. Things are settling down...I think. Mom is getting one more surgery this year, but it's supposed to be an easy one.

May I have an extension on this prompt table instead of starting all over with the 2025 one?

What do you think would make sense as an extension? How many icons do you have left to make? The time limit should be motivating for you, not crushing. <3

I have 95/100 left. But, now that I have mouse for my laptop and a new source for a fandom cap daily, I shouldn't have a problem...I hope. Original time was 18 months, so how about we say 18 months from January 1, 2025? Is that June 1 or July 1, 2026? Wait, we can do 24 months??? I'd like to change to that, please. :)

Yes, sure you can! Putting the starting point at January 1, that means you have until December 31 2026. I'll update the sign-up table.

If you really want your end date to be June 30, I will set your start date to January 1st. You can then use all the icons you've already made this year as well.

Also like Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, Stargate, ect. Can you use different movies or shows in the franchises that have a lot?

You need to use 100 different fandoms in ONE table - what you did in previous years/in other tables is not counted. That said, of course if you want to make it more challenging for yourself, there's nothing preventing you from choosing all new fandoms every year!

I'll quote the rules for you:

Q: What constitutes a 'fandom' for the purposes of this community? I mean, can we count Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and The Last Sharknado: It's About Time as six different fandoms?

A: Probably not, but you do you. :D In other words, you know your fandoms a lot better than we do, so you make the call. There's really no point to 'fudging' this challenge else why undertake it in the first place?

This is the most common question in the fic challenge, and we'll just adopt the same stance: it is up to you what you count as a fandom. The choice is yours. Remember that you have to list the fandoms you used, so do it in a way you personally feel good about your choice.

In fact, the usual way to do it is to sign up retroactively. Since you don't have to make all the icons new for this comm, but you can use icons that you have previously made, this may make sense. Just fyi.
